Blogger, the free blog hosting service owned by Google, has removed a site that was hosted there for over 4 years. Why? Who knows. But it may be significant that the site in question had just been enjoying a traffic increase of over 100% in 6 weeks.

Blogger has a policy of not hosting adult sites, but as said, the site in question has been up and regularly posting for several years and had nearly 10 million visitors in that time. Not huge, certainly, but not exactly secret either.

Content providers often make claims about their conversion rates (the rate at which surfers convert to buyers) which in practice just don't pan out. On my sites I see some very high quality and well known providers get lots of traffic from me and low sales. Where, for reasons I sometimes can't figure out, I also have partnerships which get a small percentage of my click-through but a very high percentage of those make sales.

4) When you clicked the banner you landed on the search results page. I could have set it up so you ended up on any of several pages.

And finally - the payouts. They have several programs you can chose from - but all of them make you money. If your conversions are VERY high then you can select a pay-per-click program that pays as much as $1.00 per unique hit. More realistically you can chose a program that pays out $0.10 per Free Sign-up. So far I've been converting at about 1 sign-up per 23 unique visitors.

Posting Dirty Pictures & Link to Girls Galleries

OK - You should now have:

One or more affiliate accounts set up. If not see Step 4
You blog at Blogger (or at some other provider) set up. If not see Step 5

And now the fun begins.

Go to one of your image providers (like MagicNudes (a Met-Art Site)), login in and find the Hosted Galleries section. All providers are different so I can't help you too much here - just follow links that look related like Free Content or Promotional Material.
Find a gallery you like
Find a picture in that gallery you want to put onto your site and download it to your computer (on PC's R-click on the image and select Save Image) I suggest you have a folder where you download all your content. It makes life simpler. DO NOT CLOSE THIS BROWSER
Open Hello
Click the Send Picture tab
In the pop-up I select Use Explorer but go ahead and try Picasa if you like.
Find you picture (you may need to navigate to the folder you created) and select it
Click Open
A Hello window pops up - You should see you picture. If not repeat the above steps and choose the right file.
Click BloggerBot and Send
Into the Caption window write short description and click Publish

That's it. Go to your blog and look. You should see you picture posted.

Now to link to the gallery.

Go back to that browser you didn't close (if you did no biggie - just go back to the image provider and find the gallery you wanted)
Find the link code to that gallery. It will often be the URL in the browser but look for identifying information like a WebMaster number or ID. Some providers will give you instructions on how to link to them on a Links Page or Linking Instructions page. When you have the link code, copy it (select it, R-Click, and choose Copy)
Go back to Blogger (I suggest a second browser in case you lose the link) and get to Edit Links
Select the link you just created, click the Link button on top of the Editing Window and paste in the url.
Click Publish Post.

And now you should have the first picture posted to your blog with a link to the gallery. If a surfer decides to buy a membership from thar gallery you'll make a couple bucks.

Things to consider when linking:

You can select the whole picture and description and link that to the gallery
When writing your descriptions remember to use keywords - but don't overdo it. Look at Beautiful Nude Girls of Zorbabes as an example. Link text is important t in Search Engine Optimization (more on that in another post)
Write some extended test with each post.

And that's about it. one last thing - most image providers suggest you use no more than 6 or 7 images on your site. Some will cancel your contact if you have more. I personally can't comment on this since I get about the same sales from sites with lots of galleries as from sites with 5 or 6. But do keep in mind that you always need to follow the rules of each provider.

Setting Up Blogger to Publish Your Free Porn

There are a number of good, free blog publishing options - and some are listed in the right hand navigation. They all have plusses and minuses. I suggest that anyone with any experience with blogging take a look at a couple before deciding on one.

One bit of advise I think is vital is that you choose a provider which gives you a top level domain name. For instance note that this blog's URL (what you type in to the browser's address window) is http://adultwebmasterresources.blogspot.com. This means that search engines consider it a website on it's own. If you get a URL that looks like http://blogprovider.com/adultwebmasterresources.htm then you will not get the same attention from search engines and many directories.

I am obviously partial to Blogger and will focus this post on that. As I discover other which I particularly like I'll inclide them as well.

Blogger has several strong advantages:

Completely free and has no adds other than the small bar you see at the top of this page with the Google search bar
Easy to use
Can post pictures without too much hastle
For those who can work with CSS and HTML - your blog is fully cusomisable
For those who don't know what CSS and HTML are there is a broad selection of templates

and a couple disadvantages:

Can't put links or posts into categories without getting into the code
You can't implement Keyword, description, and Title tags without getting into the code (For those who are Technical Knowlage Free - no worries. More on this later)
Posting pictures takes more cut&paste than it should
Seasrcing your blog isn't very good

Mind you, these are just my opinions and in the long run - obviously I'm starting a new blog on Blogger - so in the end I recomend it.

Building Your First Blog

All that said - here's what to do:

Goto Blogger and create an account.
Follow the Wizard. When selecting a template don't worry too much. You can swtich at any time - even after posting every day for a year
When asked for the first posting just enter anything - Test Post - will do fine.
When it comes time to choose your URL and blog title think carefully. It will help you down the line if you choose something like CollegeHotties, or RoundAsses because this will become RoundAsses.blogspot.com. If you choose something like RonsPix.blogspot.com it is less descriptive. Search engines use the URL as one of the many ways they rank sites. If your URL has the most important keywords describing your site you will get ranked higher.
One word of advise - when entering Profile information I suggest using all bogus info. This is NOT completely private information. For those who have found mine - I don't really live on Pitcairn Island. - but I am toothless and inbread :-)
After completeing the Wizard click the Publishing tab near ther top of the page. Find Notify Weblogs.com and select Yes. This is another thing which will help spread the word of your blog. More on it in another post.
Donload the Hello client and enter all relevant info there

Legal Adult Images or Free Naked Babes

I might be tempting to simply scour your hard drive and post all your favorite pictures. But think twice:

Did you download those pics from some free gallery or get them in email? Don't post. Chances are they're copyrighted and you don't have legal permission to use them.
Did you take the pics yourself? Cool - now, do you have a signed model release form and proof of the model's age at the time the pics were taken?

Unless you have legal permission to publish material then don't do it. Owners of commercial materials (which will probably account for over 90% of your private jerk-off collection) tend to be very possessive. Oh sure, many sites give permission to download for private, personal, non-commercial use. But they can get very ugly if they discover someone posting the pictures in any manner not intended by the owner.

The fastest way around this dilemma is to sign up for affiliate programs. There are tons which cover every taste from women masturbating to beautiful ass-hole shots to whathaveyou. And best of all - you can get paid for promoting these sites. This is the main way you can make some pocket change.

Typically you get 50% of the money for each sign-up. That's pretty good since many sites cost $20-$40/mo. An important thing to remember - unless you are just into their content and don't plan on any real dough from them - don't sign up with a company that doesn't pay on residuals! Nearly everyone does these days. But just in case. Residual income can turn into a nice chunk of change. The average guy (we won't be PC and kid ourselves - women are not consumers of internet porn) who joins a pay site remains a member of that site for 3-6 months. If you make 1 sale a month and your share is $15 - without residuals you make $15 / mo. But with them? In 1/2 a year your getting $45-$90 / mo. And that doesn't take into account any growth in your traffic. If your traffic and sales grow by 10% / mo. then in that same time you'll be signing up 2 guys / mo. I know this doesn't sound like much but 2 things to remember:

at least at the start treat this as a hobby and you can have some fun without getting discouraged by less than stellar incomes (you'd be looking at dirty pics anyway and maybe even paying for them, right?)
unless you're an old hand at internet business and promotions your growth is likely to be slow and a bit sporadic in the beginning. But, if you keep at it making a couple hundred bucks a month for something you'd be doing anyway is completely realistic. And if you like dreaming - there are stellar performers who make 10's of $1,000 per month. True, true, it's all true.

One point which may be obvious but it needs to be considered anyway is this: The more specific your niche the less people will be looking for it BUT you will have less competition. Nice Tits will be rather popular - just look at the number of sites found in Yahoo - well over 7 mil when I did the search. There were "only" 900,000 book copulation aficionados.

That said, I repeat - if you like them boobs then go forth and publish them to your heart’s content.

The reason is one which many articles like this don't want to mention. There is a shit-load of competition. And, there is a ton of free porn to be had. The simple truth for anyone wanting to get into this bizz is that:

It will take time - 3...6...12 months - before you can really hope for any money
You may never make the big bucks

I hate to admit it but it's true. So, set up a simple, free site. Sign up with a few affiliate programs. Do spend the time to promote your site - it may take a few hours but it will pay off. But mostly have fun. If you like the pictures anyway, go ahead and wank away - and tell anyone nosing around your working. Because you are. :-)

To Blog or Not Too...

Blogging has gotten a lot of attention in recent years. And for very good reason. You will probably have noticed that this is a blog. It is a format that I find ideal for personal publishing and for adult web serving.

There are a growing number of free blog hosts - like this one, Blogger. Obviously I like this one, I can easily publish posts, I can edit them in HTML, I can add images, and one of the niftyest things - I can run and manage multiple blogs very easily.

Of course one can still find free web hosting sites and take the time to create thumbnails, link to big pictures and link to galleries... And then do it all over again the next day - but why? Blogging is simple, it's made to be updated regularly, and surfers like it. Most of you have already seen adult blogs and perhaps not been aware of them - like ZorBabes or AmsterdamCamGirls.

For the rest of this blog "tutorial" I will assume you have selected one of the blog publishing choices I lsited or one you found elsewhere. Check out these to start with or do a Google search.

So you wanna be an adult webmaster... It's not difficult these days. More and more of your necessary resources are free and simple to use. The following posts will guide you through the steps to get you up and running in minimum time. The basic steps (not necessarily in a fixed order) are:

Choose a theme - i.e. Teens, Beautiful Babes, Video, Lesbain Anal Hardcore etc...
Choose a hosting solution - blog (more on this later), paid ISP, free hosting...
Choose image providers - paid for content, free content, etc
Start posting
Submit site to Seacrh Engines and Directories.
Keep posting

And that's about it. Obviously one can spend time and/or money on designing and advertising their site(s). This is never a bad thing to do but it costs. This blog will focus on building an entirely free adult site which can make money. It takes some time to set-up and maintain but with a bit of effort - much of which is spent looking at lovely naked ladies - or guys if that's your thing - doing fun stuff AND you can tell anyone rude enough to bug you that you're working - you can make significant amounts of money. It could be worse.
